VoLTE activation

Got this interesting SMS over the weekend from Vodacom "Vodacom has activated your free VoLTE service. For further assistance visit www.vodacom.co.za"

Now if I am not mistaken they are talking about Voice over LTE with HD Voice but i have tried going on my iPhone 6 to cellular to see if everything is in order and it is,
4G is selected and it is connected to 4G untill you place a phone call where it will fall back to 3G.

I have tried to contact 111 already to try and see if my sim card was possibly not yet provisioned for VoLTE, as I expected they have aboslutely no idea what Voice over LTE even means

So then up until this point, either my device is not compatible or the system has not done so automatically.
I know for a fact that the iPhone 6 does support VoLTE so there has to be another problem then? Could it simply need a Carrier Update from Apple to fix it?

After numerous attempts to get this enabled, I was informed that if you have international dialling or roaming enabled, the VoLTE service cannot be enabled. You need to have that disabled first.

I am busy with this process, will see...

Note that VoLTE will only work if you use the Vodacom branded firmware.

I have Nougat BTU and VoLTE does not show up.
Testing with the same sim in S7 with Vodacom firmware showed VoLTE.

Did not know who has VoLTE active, so could not do a test call!

I loaded the German S7 Edge ROM on a co-workers phone. His VoLTE just got activated. Working just fine.

Is bis phone an original Vodacom supplied phone?

Mine is Telkom supplied / XFA.

Not Vodacom or Samsung could help.

Said I need to buy Vodacom phone.

Guys. I am not doing Volte and Vowifi activations anymore. It is such a hit and miss and I dont have any answers for you. I have tried to enquire about it, but was met with a stone wall. I will only be assisting with normal LTE activations.
