VoLTE / VoWiFi

Not as yet. Their Huawei routers got an update that enabled VoLTE but seems the service is not loaded on the simcards yet and call centre has no clue so we waiting.

Why update the routers if you can’t make voice calls with a router ?

Experience mirrors mine; tried multiple phones and no joy on either VoWiFi or VoLTE.

Yeah I think maybe they are still getting things ironed out. Pity because VoLTE on the routers will be so nice. No need to fall back to 3G and you can make a call from the sim if need be.

anyone know about this on an iPhone if you go to settings > mobile data > sim applications > international roaming
then it gives you 2 options Via TelkomSa and Via Partners I selected via partners and accepted then it gives me a carrier update. I see I now have the option of enabling voWIFI and LTE has switched to 4G. The mobile data network settings instead of telkom settings i see all live.vodafone.com settings are there.

@Irshaadb can you still use the Telkom network when you do this?
 
When i do it i get no service. though i do not have vodacom roaming active where i live so that could be the problem.
 
I see Telkom advertising that you can make calls from the router and is including Telkom to Telkom minutes now on data contracts but I have yet to see VoLTE enabled?
 
Any update on this, anyone got any information with regards to vowifi recently?

Was this service maybe cancelled due to the vodacom roaming agreement?
