Volunteer work?

Hi,

I am recently single from a long term relationship. Instead of jumping into another I've decided to work on myself, and do the things I have always wanted. One of the things is to volunteer some of my time to a good cause. Oddly enough I am struggling to find something on Google. I would preferably like to volunteer somewhere where I can meet new people, like I said I am not looking for a relationship but making new friends would be great.

Does anyone know of anywhere?

Be wary of those Volunteer jobs you have to pay some form of cash upfront to join. Scams.

Find your local Boystown/Girlstown. They often have formal volunteer programs you can be part of.
