Looking for suggestions on where to volunteer a bit of free time. I'd prefer kids to the elderly. Reading (kids in hospital?), helping on outings or something like that. I don't have kids so can't get involved via that route. Would also be cool to hear about anyone here who volunteers with anything & what they do etc.

You like fitness? - perhaps something sport or fitness related for a children's home or a community center in an underprivileged area? Five a side, Boot camp or Go Ruck maybe? Not sure if there's some sort of screening required to do this sort of thing.

If you wanted to get qualified, HFPA have a personal trainer qualification that you can do online in about 3 - 6 months and there is a short course for instructing children. Some of the longer PT or exercise specialist courses cover training special populations including children.

Thinking about it, I'm an idiot. I should be doing this. Of course you still can too :)
