Volvo C30

With regards to my other thread.

i decided to start a new thread to discuss the Volvo C30. 1.6, what is your feelings on this car.

The C30 is an attractive car, very luxurious and comes with a 5yr/100 000km motorplan which is way better than VW or Toyota etc.

Negatives are:

1.6 a bit weak for the heavy body.
Bad depreciation
Low resale value

I also don't see many around which might make selling a bit hard in future.

thanks, i have a toss up between the mazda 3 and volvo, there is one coming in for a test drive soon. any other feelings

You can go nuts choosing a car. Drive both then decide.

Personally, I like the protection of a full maintenance plan, because you have a fixed expense for the duration of the plan. With a service plan or no plan, you can have clutches, brakes and other expensive "weat and tear" items fail on you and in the end cost way more than the depreciation on a car with maintenance plan.

Like i said though, drive both and you'll just know.
