Volvo to launch autonomous driving experiment

Volvo plans to launch China’s most advanced autonomous driving experiment, in which local drivers will test autonomous cars on public roads.

Doesn't matter - I loved my Volvo Plus I got more on the trade in than my stepbrother Mercedes.

Anyway - on topic, I read there were issues (with all manufacturers) of self driving cars because of the lack of lines, signs and other infrastructure. Problem is more in the US than Europe though

Roads and especially intersections will need to be mapped more accurately on gps and new "smart intersections" will need to be made with better markings for driveless cars to read. Even if its just a QR code under the stop sign.

Driveless car will be awesome. In the near future I can see approved driverless routes or driverless lanes on certain highways before all roads are driverless safe.
