Voodoo 5 6000

Strange God AGP, lol, I am now curious whether it is the same person because the S.U.X has now been long around. The S.U.X. 6000 is also this GPU.

Just checked, S.U.X. is made by Anthony Zxclxiv. I guess it is Gamers Nexus which is late to the party, but good exposure nonetheless. Those custom GPUs are expensive AF.

EDIT: S.U.X. was cancelled. I didn't know about that, so I guess the Strange God is the new, but same, series. The initial batch was delivered. Zxclxiv has a whole range.

I like how some people always say that this hardware can be emulated, but they ignore its capabilities at a layer level. Yes, it is old, so most use cases are irrelevant. I who dabble in audio is still waiting on people showing me to emulate something like a Roland MT32 or similar, and no, clone hardware isn’t a valid argument, and though synthesisers like Munt are doable and really good, it does not measure up to separation. Then again, this doesn’t matter to most people, and Munt is used with MT32s.

The day I have money I will love to do some clone imports, but sadly it is very expensive, and original hardware is way overpriced.

Probably the same people running something like ps2 emulator thinking it's good whereas the actual hardware is always better. I mean just look at dosbox vs a real retro gaming box. BTW.. Roland was awesome.

On a audio note, I love this man's channel on Bad Gear,

Just shows that 'bad gear' needs capable hands and supporting hardware.

EDIT: That link starts the playlist.

I only had two 3200's in sli. Great but hardly the performance I imagined it would give. Still, man, the initial quake days going actual 3d.
Really? I'm pretty happy with my Voodoo2 SLI performance. My Voodoo 4500, on the other hand... Complete garbage. It's too new to properly support older games, and too slow to play games from its period (which were oftentimes Direct3D) decently.

The only Voodoo I had access to was a Voodoo Banshee, that got replaced with a RIVA TNT2 and then with my own money I earned as a kid I made the mistake to upgrade to a Radeon 8500 which I modded with a Crystal Orb Thermaltake cooler, lol, and heatsinks, then I upgraded to a GeForce 256. I played Unreal and Wing Commander Prophecy which incorporated glide, but both later came with OpenGL patches. I still have all these GPUs.

Really. Expectancy, hype and youthful dumbness made me wanted 300% boost from sli whereas I mostly got 125 to 150. Although AA was nice.
