Gave notice to cancel the monthly iBurst with the reseller Vox in Oct 2015 but instead of speaking to Vox, notified iBurst and they said that they would contact the Vox. The invoices from Vox however continued to reflect the monthly charge, amount now greater than a R1,000, and despite many calls to Vox they blankly refused to acknowledge the cancellation.

I hope there is a Vox representative on this forum or monitors this forum who can help.

Bro, you needed to terminate the agreement with whom you signed the paperwork. In this case the re-seller. Going to the top of the food chain to terminate doesnt help as the agreement is between you and "the vox". legally speaking - you cant do much about this now. You would also need proof that iburst actually notified the reseller too.

iBurst agreed to notify Vox so I have to follow up there. Unfortunately, when I now call iBurst they keep transferring me to Vox. The relationship between iBurst and Vox seemed less than clear to me. I would expect Vox to accept that confusion may arise and view the data consumed from Nov in order to consider this a special case.

Again I hope someone from Vox can respond. Customer Service is now simply not willing to consider this as anything but a routine non-payment and is now threatening to report to ITC.
