Hi there everyone. If there is anyone who is interested in changing ISP's, wanting to get fibre for the first time or have any general Vox related questions, you are more than welcome to do so here.

We cover all major FNO's and are completely uncapped with no throttling.

After ongoing issues with WebAfrica I switched to Vox due to the positive feedback on this site. Sadly my lack of trust with ISP's continues. I've been informed that I will be billed from 1st August yet there is no sign of my wi-fi router being delivered yet. Are ISP's the worst performing services sector in SA? Is it time for ICASA to undertake a comprehensive investigation into this sector?

I have battled for 2 months (most recently with Vox) to get connected with fibre. The common denominator is Vumatel. How dare they send me an email to indicate that the issue is resolved without consulting the CUSTOMER first? My strong recommendation is to avoid ISP's that have thrown their lot in with Vumatel. At this stage I think that LTE is a far less traumatic option than fibre.

Got fibre in our small town of Orkney from Zerotel, oops I mean Herotel but have been having huge problems(extreme packet loss) with them and zero support. Anyway I see that openserve is busy installing fibre here but have no idea of when this will be available. I want to get Openserve+VOX fibre, I used to be very happy with VOX when I was on dsl. On the VOX site I can pre-order but not date of when it will be available is given. Anyone that can comment on that? Will mainly be used for online gaming and streaming.

Dude...head on over to the Frogfoot (owned by Vox) thread here.

Best bet would be to use Openserve if you can. They seem to be very decent. I'd switch in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I am on Vox/Frogfoot, and while Vumatel is outside my house as well they're more expensive. Waiting for Openserve to finish trenching.
