Is anyone using the VOX / @lantic uncapped ADSL offerings?

I'm looking at the 384kbps account.

Does anyone know how bad their shaping is? Are they able to provide a better service than MWEB or are they going to be as useless as the IS drones?

If anyone can provide some tracert / ping results it would be appreciated.

My 2cents....stay the heck away dude. :(
I went 384 uncapped when it was announced. As I type this, I am running at 49kbits/s ......the max I get out of the line in daytime is 140....in the morning and afternoon I've been down to 24!! yes that is bad dial-up speeds. Max I've seen in the evening has been an average of 200....but don't bet on that.
Previously the line ran close to max most of the time.
Ping...150-270 ms !!

Honestly it can only get worse as more people sign up and are squeezed into the same line....:mad:
 
to add.... I think I will run like this for another week or so and then find an affordable R30/gig deal and jump ship for a better quality line.

unshaped per gig with axxess/openweb is probably the best right now imo
 
So nobody can confirm a ping to int / local or a tracert to various intl servers?

I would like to know what the speeds are like with this provider and what backbone they use.

Any info would be appreciated.

Those stats are pretty good for a 384k line. Especially those pings. Fail to see the problem. Incidentally, at 49kb/s you're maxxing out your 384k. So what's the problem? The service seems to be working as advertised. Or are you saying don't take a 384k line, period?

Dude, your post makes no sense? It's 384K uncapped account and your getting 1-2 meg speeds off it? That sounds pretty frikken sweet to me. I can only assume you're on 4 meg.
