In Dec I upgraded to Fibre and yet VOX are seemingly incapable of sorting out the basics of this change, not only still charging me for my ADSL line and ADSL package on top of my Fibre line and package but they still haven't cancelled the ADSL line. That was at the end of Dec.

Fast forward to yesterday after a plethora of emails and phone calls and this months invoice still shows the ADSL line rental and none of the amounts owed to me are credited, after VOX promised they would be...

I ask you, if over a 7 week period an ISP can't sort out a basic account issue after email upon email upon phone call etc. what hope is there really for them?

The irony... I was just looking at the Vumatel options last night. Signed up to get the CPE installed next week. Was actually looking for a provider now.

Service levels are really the only differentiator in my opinion as prices are pretty much similar.

Never had any issues with Vox.
when I moved and Cancelled my line, it was all sorted quick. and I never paid another cent.

3 months later I get the new line in the new place sorted (telkom issues)
I call Vox and I am up and running on the same canceled account. with roll over data still pending, and I was not charged for the 9 days until the end of the next month so I was only billed a month after I was connected again.

you had a complicated issue and they dropped the ball. but when your issue is sorted OP, you better come back here and say that it has. and if it is not sorted by the end of feb, you better come back here and update us.

You guys are lucky, my issues seem never ending...

Vox fibre is a nightmare.

-Downtime for maintenance issues 3-5 times a week anywhere form 5mins-4hours.
-Throttling 100mb/s capped packages to 25kb/s when they feel like it.
-Tell me nothing is wrong with there network then 10 mins later I get a message saying the network is down.
-Took 3 months to sort out a change from 1 package to another package (double charging me for both accounts).
-The voip telephone never worked from day one even though they came out every second week to fix it. I just gave up on that.
-I had to reactivate the 1mb/s i-burst to get any work done at the office for all the downtime they were having.

They were great at the end of 2015 but just kept dropping the ball over and over through 2016 until I had to leave. Not sure if they got too big and couldn't handle it.

Moved to Cool Ideas and all those problems went away. I haven't had to phone them once, I cant believe I pulled my hair out with Vox and with Cool Ideas it was so easy.

On the other hand they are a decent ADSL ISP.
