Hi All,

Looking to those who might have experience.

I currently run a Mesh System in my home through CISP, looking to change over to Vox due to the cost benefit.

Vox have advised me that they use a Mikrotik user which I wont be using - I will continue with my Mesh system.

Will this be problematic or will the service run normally (Do I HAVE to use the mikrotik).

I havent had any issues with previous service providers, so assume the same but just checking.

I know I wont have their support but thats ok.

Thanks,
Mo

I have fully controlled Vox router, i also used my own Router sometimes, to make sure you have the PPPoE username/password, then everything could be by your own.

Im using a Huawei B315 and 3 Airties 4920 devices and Im having no issues. Just use the username and password provided by Vox. Im also on Vuma.

then there isn't any username and password, you just set router to dynamic.

Trenched...
weird, i'm on trenched and have gone through 3 isp's so far, websquad, homeconnect and macrolan, none of which needed usernames, just dhcp, i'll be moving to afrihost next month, not expecting any username and password from them either.
i'm curious where you would put that info in the router?

Vumatel Aerial requires PPPOE authentication not Trench

In a nutshell, I fiddled with the settings until I managed to get a successful connection.

My connection mode on my router is PPPoE + dunamic IP. I just added the username and password there.

Same with me. I just connected my router to the ONT and it connected successfully. I was actually suprised because I was still looking for a place to enter the login details :p

exactly, don't know what vox is on about providing login details for trenched, doesn't inspire confidence.
