Are you asking because you think they changed something recently? I used to have ADSL at home (~ 6 months ago) and, using a dynamic DNS service, I was able to host a few things for my own use. I've now got mywireless at home, but I've had ADSL installed at my office and want to set up the same functionality, i.e. dynamic DNS so that I can VPN in.
I've been configuring and reconfiguring my router for the past two days trying to get traffic coming in with basically no success, and I am beginning to come to the conclusion that Telkom is somehow blocking incoming traffic to the IP address. Outbound traffic is fine, but inbound traffic basically does not work - on any port that I have tried, using either the IP address or the domain name.
I tried a friend's ADSL IP and was still able to get through to his machine, but that account has been in existence for some time and I have to think that perhaps Telkom are configuring new accounts differently.
Anyone else with similar experiences to share?
