VPN and Microsoft Exchange

VPN and Microsoft Exchange Help needed!!!!!!

Hi, I'm trying to help someone but its like the blind leading the blind.:sick:

The problem is rather complicated but let me explain!

The PC is a Laptop running Vista Business. This connects to the work network when at work and to Telkom DSL when home. Two email accounts set up. The work account and a Telkom account. Microsoft Outlook is used. Microsoft Exchange is also set up aswell as a VPN connection. OK now for the problem.

Cannot connect to VPN. Gives an error report "Windows confirmed that VPN but it is not responding at this time," and that a remote firewall might be blocking the attempt. Microsoft Exchange also tries to connect but fails.

Microsoft Outlook also hangs every 5 min. The result is we cannot access the work email. We can send and receive Telkom account mail.

Is this a problem at the "öffice" network or on the laptop.

Hope this makes sense.:D

What VPN software are you using? Can you access anything on you companies network? Most probably its at you Co's side, make sure that you authentication through the firewall was successfull!
