vpn connection

Hi Guys please assist, i have vodacom fibre and the vodafone h500s router i cant get my vpn connected through this router there are no settings for that, i would like all my connections including wifi to go thru nordvpn without having to install nord on every device is there another way to have nord and router connected so all connected devices can be using the vpn

Nord VPN does not support any of those connection methods that would allow you to set the details in the router.

You would need to look for a VPN service that supports PPTP/L2TP or if you get an expensive router that supports Wireguard you can look for a VPN service that supports WireGuard and use that method.

hi Afrinatic thanks for replying, but my problem is that when i log into the router there is no option for vpn i was told i can use another router connectected to the vodafone h500s and use the second router for vpn if that is possbile can you recommend a good second router

I'm not sure what connection method Vodacom uses and I think that might be pppoe but you would not require the Vodacom router if you are going with another router. So if you can get those deeds from Vodacom fibre then you should be able to use your own router.

sorry i forgot to mention i have fibre, and was told by vodacom the vodafone h500s cannot be changed it has to always be used but another router can be connected to it to use the vpn functions cos their routers dont have the option

Well that would be fine you can do that. Since you will be using a VPN port forwarding would not be that important. Using a second router like that would mean a double nat.

Should be as simple as plugging in a lan cable from the Vodafone LAN to the other router WAN port and have your router connection method as DHCP. It will get an IP from the Vodafone and have internet right away. Then you can set the VPN in your own router.

thank you Afrinat 1 last thing can you recommend a router for this
 
Are they still having problems? They say they dont keep logs etc would it still not be safe to use them
 
Why would you want to send all of your connectivity through a VPN?
You are funneling all of your traffic to a 3rd party and hoping they dont do anything with it. That is aside from the performance hit a VPN causes.

i mainly want to use it for netflix hulu and torrenting
