VPN: Do you use one?

How many of you big streamers/Downloaders use VPNs or Proxies?

Is it really that important to use one? Or does no one really bother if you're streaming a movie(Lets just say not on Netflix) or download a movie that you may or may not have paid for.

In SA, unless you're trying to protect your browsing from hostile network operators (work admin, public wifi etc) or bypass geo-blocking I see no reason to use a VPN.

I use to use a VPN... To connect into home. I use one now as well... To connect to to my VPS securely. I have a small private network which runs between my network and a few VPS.

I do. For security, anonymity when necessary, and location spoofing.

Yes. Mostly when I'm on some wifi link that i don't trust. Hotels and such.

Downloads I don't vpn though. It's pointless for usenet

Yup. For a static IP to access work related DBs.
