Hi anyone using a VPN for Netflix that actually works?

Lata

I use a DNS service rather than a VPN.

I prefer DNS as well, VPN's tend to be slow, but I haven't found another DNS that worked well (I used UnoTelly in the past). Hoping to get some good DNS suggestions on this thread.

I use TorGuard VPN for other things as well though, torrents, watching regional content (e.g. Sky news, etc)

TorGuard + dedicated US IP

I second this. Using their proxy service and its working a treat. Get about 9.7Mbps to netflix (fast.com speedtest) About R500 per year. Only getting about 4.2Mbps to netflix when proxy is disabled.

They are very professional. I get full speed torrent downloads through their VPN, other VPN providers tend to be slow. I love the dedicated client on Windows - on Mac and Linux I just use their ovpn openvpn config. Great technical support as well.

hi
also would like to get us netflix again
used to use unotelly in the past
looking for something like that thats just as simple to use

would like to connect multiple devices etc,- apple tv,nvidia shield, roku etc.

would smartdns be the best?

to install torguard or other vpn - would i need to flash my router with dd-wrt etc?
have a tp link router

If you go the VPN route and you want to use multiple devices, then you'll have to initiate the VPN from your router, most can do it these days - and route all your traffic over the VPN. With DNS, you can also set it up on the router.

I also used UnoTelly in the past, it was reasonably seamless

TorGuard has clients, but it supports openvpn as well, so as long as your router can connect to a VPN it should be fine. Easiest is to get a trial subscription and try it out to see if it works for you

Yeah thanks - will try a trial this weekend
Im a bit concerned a vpn may slow things down a bit
Would it be possible to get a subscription from a provider that provides both smart dns and vpn
and put the smart dns in the router and the vpn on a specific computer on the network and so
have geo-unblocking for all my devices but also have anonymity from the one pc on the network

Getflix provides both.

Not listed on their site

was cheap - R353 for two years

30 day money back guarantee if you not happy....

I've found Overplay to have by far the snappiest BBC iPlayer performance. Perhaps worth a try for Netflix too.

Why not using our inhouse guy?(rami84)
https://flixdns.net

Worked no issues with ATV for month and a half.

In house guy? He's got 32 posts and now he's punting a commercial service.

He'll need to get himself registered as a dealer if he wants to do that.
