VPN issues [RESOLVED]

Hi there

I am in the process of testing a Billion IPAC 5200S router for work, but I have run into a snag.

I cannot VPN in on my work's adsl account, neither on another adsl account.

I also have tried different routers, same issue.

Is Telkom blocking VPN traffic on their accounts? (ports 1723 and 47)

What errors are you getting?

Did you open the ports on the PC's firewall?

It worked.

Now I feel so dof

Basically, we use PPTP passthrough on our smoothy to pass VPN requests through to an internal VPN server.

I set up another Smoothy to passthrough PPTP as well to same server, but could not connect, no matter what I do.

In desperation, I set up another PC with the network wizard, just to accept incoming PPTP connections... and it worked.

Seems our VPN server got configured only to accept PPTP packets only from one firewall and not from two
