Hi

Ive never put a VPN on our internet but since last year netflix randomly says you have a VPN and then it kicks some shows off now and then when the modem resets because of loadshedding. Shows will appear back a week or two by themselves but i cant figure out where this vpn is to turn it off.

We are with Mweb fibre and i have a Deco mesh system. Can anyone help me

Potential issue here is you are being assigned an IP by Mweb that Netflix has deemed as a VPN IP, so someone who had it before you was doing something with it which resulted in Netflix flagging the IP.

Netflix flag IP's that they deem as VPN providers to stop them from giving people access to all their different regions contents as well as subscribing in a region where it is cheap to only use it in another region.

When your router restarts you are assigned another IP and that on is not flagged. Then when you router dies again you assigned another dodgy one.

What fibre network are you on?

So what should i do? Is there some setting i can change my side?
Personally not much you can do if Mweb are assigning you a dodgy IP thats flagged by Netflix.

Only thing really is logging a ticket with them explaining your situation

This is just my assumption since i have seen this in the past with someone i know - they weren't with Mweb.

I have personally many years ago been given a dodgy IP that was blocked on a few things and i had to log a ticket with my ISP who changed my IP and took that IP out their IP pool for a few months
