How do I setup the router to route to a specific IP address?

Did the "static route" menu, but see the new DG834's (still have access to one with older firmware) has a VPN menu?

Tried pinging it, and it just request time-out.

Any help will be appreciated! Tx.

"Add a service - create a service for a specific port if needed (vpn is already listed in the firewall rules)" then "Firewall rules - port forward a port to a selected ip or ip range".

You need to enable pinging in Wan Setup aswell.

Thanks for the help - did all that, and now I can ping the router, and connect (auth) on our server, but can't ping it. Configured Inbound and Outbound services, but still nada. :( Don't know if it's on the server side, because if could ping it using Sentech and a Gigabyte router a week ago...

by default that router has ping disable.
to enable go to WAN Setup then tick this option Respond to Ping on Internet WAN Port and then click apply..

if you got vpn setup and connected, u can go to Diagnostics and do ping over vpn. if that option not there go netgear website and get the lastest firmware for your model..that should update to have that option.

there are the different version of the dg834g 54mb wireless
which are v1.0 , v2.0 and v3.0 . to find just look under neeth the router on that big white sticker it will say some on there..

p.s make sure download the right one for your router..
