VPN on afrihost issues

so i moved from mweb to afrihost on tuesday

my work VPN used to work 100% fine however from yesterday it has been reconnecting every few mins

checked with few colleagues and no issues they side

on tues and wednesday the VPN was fine but since yesterday its doing this

any ideas ?

i did message afrigirl as well

Perhaps not the MTU of the router, but change the MTU of the VPN adapter perhaps?
You can do this in Adapter options or CMD

Open Command Prompt as Administrator
Enter the command: netsh interface ipv4 show subinterfaces.
Look for the VPN adapter in question

Adjust the MTU Size:
Enter command: netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Adapter" name mtu=XXXX store=persistent

Replace “XXXX” with the desired MTU value, e.g., 1400.

its a work vpn that we connect to via cisco secure client

The client has a public IP allocated on Openserve.

i have reset my modem and did what was asked

this isnt good as i need this for work

never had this issue with mweb before

trying it out via lan cable now to see how long it lasts

on wifi it was dropping every 2mins

its been 7mins for now

touch wood this works for now

but also is it then my router that could be the issue ?

afrihost did supply with a new router , i havnt opened that up as yet

Strange. WiFi and LAN uses the same IP.

Probably a faulty/weak/dropping wireless signal.

so i think this is a work issue

when connecting via wifi i cannot access the vpn (UK one) and get some weird issue



i connect via lan and its fine

i try connect to another VPN (local address) and it works fine on wifi
