Hey guys

Want to set up a VPN connection to my Windows box, any tips etc for doing his over iburst? Not sure if VPN is blocked by iburst at the moment...

I know that on Vodacoms 3g / hsdpa cards you need to have the account 'vpn activated' and then change the APN to inernetvpn, anything required for iburst?

Thanks
John

VPN works fine over iBurst ... wife is on a VPN connection pretty much 24/7

John

We've bought a standard 3Gb iBurps package, connected it via Ethernet cable to the windows box.

On the windows box, I've installed the application from dyndns.org, allowing it to push the public Ip out to dyndns (so that I can only type in myhost.homeftp.net instead of an IP address). *The service dyndns.org offers is free*

Also, on the win box I have run the new connection wizard and created an incoming VPN connection.

Works great, although I won't recommend XP as VPN server - too unreliable security-wise.

Haven't had any serious issues with VPN over iBurst yet.

Excuse my ignorance or lack of knowledge, but whatis a windows box?
