Hi, have tried searching the forums but can't find any reference to this problem.

My problem is this:
When connecting to a VPN server running Kerio VPN (TCP/UDP 4090) my VPN client successfully connects. But I cannot RDP into any of the machines accessable through the VPN.

When I connect from an ADSL based connection, I can RDP to the machines. I've spoken to another person on Vodacom 3G, and they have the same problem.

Funny thing is, it used to work last year, but this year we cannot connect to RDP via the VPN.

Does anybody know why this happens, and / or of a way to fix / bypass the problem?

Which APN are you using?
Did you ask your SP to open all the ports on the 3G card?

No idea wich APN it's set too use.

My 3G is on a Pre-Paid sim card, and we use one of the older Hauwei PCMICA adapters in a PC to connect.

I assume I'd have to contact the Vodacom SP directly to request the port being opened.

The funny thing is, the VPN connection is established successfully, so any traffic sent to the VPN server, should be over the VPN tunnel. Why does this get affected?

If you want to RDP into a PC that is connected using Vodacom's network, then that PC will need to be on the [searchforum]unrestricted APN[/searchforum], you will need to call 155 for Unrestricted APN application form.

What IP Address do you get when you connect ?

If you are using the 'internet' APN (10.x.x.x IP), you will be NATted. Some VPNs have a problem with that, even if the initial connection is successful.

If that is the case then call 155 and get them to provision you for the internetvpn APN and have them help you change your settings to use it.

Kewl, will phone 155 then.

The VPN IP range is not 10.0.0.0 based, so it must be an APN problem then.

Thanx for the help!
