Hi there,
Can anyone give me some suggestions on (ADSL) routers that can create a hardware VPN connection between two points, and that will also allow multiple (upwards of 4) incoming VPN connections. I think the Netgear DG834 allows for a hardware VPN connection, but i'm not sure how many incoming VPN connections it allows?

Preferably something from Duxbury :)

Thanks, Nick

I havent tried it but the functionality is there on the netgear but theres a special way you neeed to setup they dyndns account.

I normally buy a second hand pc and run OpenVPN on Redhat.

Yeah, possible using another pc, but would rather keep the setup hardware (router) based for the moment.

Thanks though,
Nick

Apparently you can do it but need netgear VPN client running on the PC's as far as I can make out. Seems the router does a VPN passthrough. Best bet is to google a bit or check with the techs at Duxbury.

The DG384GT only does VPN passthrough but has higher wireless speeds (108Mbps). The DG384G has 54Mbps wireless but does do VPN termination so you don't need any kind of VPN software running on the client PCs.

I've read reports that indicate that the DG384G can handle 5 concurrent VPN tunnels.
