Due to a sudden influx of some money I am almost completely debt free, now every second day I have people phoning me to give me credit cards, loans and policies. How do these guys know when your debt exposure lessens?

Let's be honest, this thread was just to tell us about your bonus. Employing Blu tactics.

Ummm... no it wasn't at all - Just recieved a call re: a funeral policy- kinda pissed about it... so if anyone with an informed response would like to answer, I am genuinely interested on how they monitor you.

Abzo, if your comment was not "tongue-in-cheek" which I am hoping it was, you should be careful of painting people with similar brushes. I have grown to like some people on this forum but I feel no need to one up anyone here - Popularity on a forum is the same as popularity on youtube :/ it means very little [except for the Biebers of the world]

It's abzo. All his comments are foot in mouth :D

congrats on the raise

now someone should ask what car you buying or what flat you buying and you hit the blu tactics on the head

and off topic ...drew you bastid you owe me lunch

Hahaha I have put cars and flats on the backburner till I can build up a nest egg- which might take a while. Yes I think theres a few of us that need lunch, stick figure is also meant to join - and a few other I think CBR is also around here.

PS wasn't a raise was a bonus - raise was about 7%

Did you suddenly pay off some loans ? maybe it was reflected on your credit profile.

Whenever you pay a credit installment (or settle debt for that matter), the credit companies are obliged to update the credit bureaus with this data.
The bureaus on-sell this information, and this is how these companies:
  1. Know that you have some affordability
  2. Know your name, ID and contact details

yeah sunbird - scarily I think some of the bigger corporations sell it too - probably have some sort of waiver when you sign stuff :/
I think Biena actually answered the question - my credit profile would have improved, but they must have software of some type that sounds an alarm when someones not indebted to their eyeballs
