I feel these guys are now using their monopolistic advantage to keep increasing their fiber prices.

Just saw an email for the new fiber tariffs

Yeah, as much as I hate Vrotfoot, Openserve have only rolled out to a section of my suburb with apparently no intention of completing the rest, and Vumatel seem to feel that INCREASING prices leads to more customers.
I'd basically increase my costs by 40% or so to be on a 50Mbps line with them.

No thanks...

PS: guys at Vuma: the MORE you get on your fibre network the MORE you make hence the fact you can lower your costs accordingly and still make money as more people come on. Not the other way round.

I'm so glad that there is Telkom fibre in my area. Cheap and effective. Also, always on during load shedding

I was under the impression that Vumatel already increased their prices not too long ago. Didn’t they also subsequently bump up the speed at each price tier? In effect cancelling out the price increase.
