Vumatel CPE installation limitations

The distance between the box on the boundary wall and where I need the CPE is quite far and the route is onerous (up one wall down the other, trenching below ground, etc.)

Are there any limitations to what Vumatel will do for the standard installation fee before charging extra. Can I tell then how to route the line, or do they decide?

AFAIK, they won't do any trenching, that was the warning they gave me.

Also, consider finding another location for the CPE to make things easier, that's what I did. I'd rather have that, than have them do a complicated route and damaging things along the way.

I had mine installed at my previous cottage from the boundary wall, over a wall, down and under pavers, up a wall, under a roof, across an awning and into the cottage wall and down. The guys did a great job and didn't charge extra for the "hassle" of getting it in right.

This was ni 2016 February

So how do they get it from point A to point B without trenching?

In my case there is some trunking against the wall, all the way around until they can take it into the roof. It was done using trunking above ground.

Yes they do trenching to install CPE if they have to, and in their terms and conditions they say they will cover 150m before you need to start paying
Edit: ( I see they removed the 150m from there T&C's, was on there a few weeks ago, so not sure about that then, friend's was over 40 meters last week and he did not have to pay anything extra)

Another edit, this post also refers to 150m

They trenched the 1m from my boundary wall through my garden using a spade, and lifted another 1m of paving to the house wall, and buried a PVC pipe, then restored the garden and paving. I was afraid of running a PVC pipe across 3 walls of my house, but they suggested that I take the fibre through my roof, next to some electrical wiring, and then from the roof enter my study through an existing trunk. Very neat job.
