Pease note there is a suspected outage in JHB on the Vumatel Network. The root cause is still being investigated.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and apologize for any disruption to your services. Please be assured that FNO (Fibre Network Operator) engineers will be working diligently to restore normal operations.
We will keep you updated on the progress and provide an estimated time for resolution as soon as we have more information.

Network Incident Description: Core Network outage
Network Incident Grade: Major
Region Affected: JHB
Network Type Affected: GPON Current Resident

Root cause = power outage at data center affecting multiple client sites. We have escalated this with the Senior Reflex Engineers.

We had connectivity for ten minutes
 
Luckily I have a bit of mobile data to burn lol
I still had a tad left over from the 29 hour outage last month, which was better then the 32 hour outage the month before. Vumatel really are crap

Yup...I'm still off..upgraded my contract with Vodacom last month so was gifted 20g as a once off for Dec.. couldn't of come at a better time

Nice, I've got 2 Afrihost 2gb sims for my wife and son's phones, last month loaded them with some extra and that lasted awhile, we had to go back to actually conserving data :-), not sure how we did that in the past. I can use 3GB in seconds now
