I have had incredible service previously on this forum regarding my fibre service and hopefully will get assistance again.
I am on Afrihost- Vumatel 50/50 and have had constant issues with my line. It would randomly drop throughout the day and resolve itself, ranging from a couple of minutes to sometimes hours. I grew frustrated with logging tickets and be told to do multiple tests and then later on get messages that it's an area outage on Vumatel's side.
Today, I lost connectivity again and despite my misgivings, logged a ticket and then the ' jumping through hoops' again started. Status of lights and connecting to directly to fibre box are some of the things required.
Decided to ignore the above and thought it will resolve itself as usual. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I got a message later stating that Vumatel has been unable to resolve the issue and need to access my property to investigate further- with reference ISP1185888.
My previous experience with Vumatel has been the stuff of nightmares, sitting without a connection for almost a month while playing a blaming game with my ISP.
I am thinking of pulling the plug on this service but thought maybe run it through the forum and see if I can get some sort of resolution.
