Over the past month I have had disconnects occurring early in the morning and late at night on a daily basis, where my router would say "terminating... - peer is not responding", and then for the next 5-10min would go:

initializing...
connecting...
terminating... - disconnected

I'm also not alone, as our neighbours (who are with different ISPs) have also complained about this happening to them.

So, anyone else in Roodepoort on Vumatel getting these disconnects? Have you escalated to your ISP (and Vumatel) with a response from them?

Seen maybe 2 disconnects in the last month or so on vumatel aerial via cool ideas. No lingering issues here in wilgeheuwel

In Wilgeheuwel and on Aerial as well, no disconnects at all. I know someone who's near Florida who is getting a lot.

A lot of buffering and very slow internet most of the day in Roodekrans yesterday.

I'm on Vumatel trenched in JHB.

Randomly the router will stop passing traffic.

When I check the logs I get this error " received NAK from dhcp server "

Sometimes I can renew the IP address and it fixes it for a while.

Most time I need to power cycle the Vumatel CPE to get the IP address again, and this works, for a while.

Don't want to jinx it, but it feels like the connection was alot more stable yesterday (didn't notice any drops).

Hi AfriNatic
To be honest I never checked.
Just checked wifi now and no issues.
The speeds on wifi seem to drop in the evenings.

Once again very poor speeds in Roodekrans.Afrihost reset the router on Friday 9th April at about 15h00.
Back to rubbish speeds again this evening.
Afrihost you need to sort this out

Before blaming the ISP let's rule out wireless interference. When it's slow on Wi-Fi check with a direct LAN cable to the router or CPE
