So I wanted to look at changing my ISP, unfortunately the only avaialble fibre in this part of Durbanville is Vumatel. Seriously Vumatel, you add over 75% to the cost for similar packages from the same ISPs using Openserve and the like. You need to adjust or I urge those with mutiple platforms to check their costs, there are cheaper alternatives out there.

The cost isn't even Vumateyl's biggest problem. They are *extremely* anti-consumer and they only protect the ISPs, as en-user customer you mean nothing to them. They make it very hard to switch ISP and will also let the ISP do all nasty things like prevent your line from being released even though you've settled your account with them. Vumatel will 100% always take the ISP side by policy. They are horrible but unfortunately they're often the only choice.
Sadly so... we should all revolt and go back to watching DSTV and no longer have a need for fast internet, then we would see policy and pricing change
