South Africa,
Early in January I reported to Vumatel that there are Fiber connection boxes without any covers in our complex. Every time it rains, Vumatel's cables are damaged and they are called out. I finally got a response on the 26th of January. Ref. no 396571. The support team was on site and took photos of the boxes with missing covers and said that they would soon be back. Nothing happened. I called Vumatel again today and asked them to check the reference number to see what progress was made. I was told the reference number indicates that the job has been completed! Reported the issue once again and was given Ref No 411497. Let's see how long it takes to get any reaction, if any at all.

Good luck with that - we caught a guy that ripped the boxes off of houses in several roads. Took him to SAPS, made a statement - informed the Vumatel area manager... They didn't even lay charges or prosecute for damages, despite him being caught red handed.

Was a joke - they had to redo more than 50 boxes at their cost.

Talk about Vuma, do they every replace backup batteries? ... The units at the main hub in our area doesn't stay on for the full duration of loadshedding
