So who here knows a lot about these little guys? I bought one yesterday for R10 000. Which I think was a pretty good price.

It's got 290 000 on the clock. The engine just got redone. Body is still in good condition. There are a lot of nice hidden security features on it. They replaced the analogue clock with a rev meter and put a small digital clock in.

So your opinions please?

Also does anyone know where I can get a copy of a user's manual or something for this car and it's engine? I need one.

They are brilliant little cars with massive boots.

Everything is identical to a Citi Golf, so if you get a manual for a Golf, you will have the same pictures and instructions, and equipment. Sounds as if you have the 1800 with the rev counter, though that might have been on the 1600 as well....lovely car!:D

I owned a 4 speed 1989 1.6 Fox.

Redid the engine, and it drove sweet for a number of ears until it got written off. :(

A fox is exactly the same as a MK1 Golf - If you can find an old Golf manual, then you'll be sorted.

Ah no it's a custom job that was done on this car. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a site or place where I can check up if there's something wrong with my car. I'm going to do a major service on it soon and need some tips on what to look out for.
