vw golf 2.0 FSI

Have just bought this. A 2006 version with 120,000kms. Manifold gasket is blowing which i was told is quite a labour intensive job. i also understand that the 120 service is a cambelt change. can anyone recommend a mechanic good with this car in the Durban area. Am sure agents would be an expensive alternative. thanx

no. vw umhlanga say it should be changed between 90-120,000kms. quoted R8400 for service (incl plugs) + cambelt

I had the same car, cambelt was changed at 100k km (just like most cars).
