Rules for Diesel's:
1. Don't over rev them, people make big mistake when they go from a petrol to diesel they make plenty power low down between 1.5k and 2.5k
2. Don't go over service intervals, if you want to extend life of your turbo try servicing oil every 10k
3. On long journeys or after putting strain on the motor let the turbo cool for a 1min.. this is the biggest mistake that most people make
4. Only use 50ppm diesel, 500ppm contaminates the oil faster and is not good for the pump, injectors and Cat
This is what i have done with all my diesels and they just keep running..
What is the correct gear change 2500 RPM? I think the timing might be out...
