VW Polo MK4 Light Switch

Hello!

My little polo is getting on in years but has served me well the last decade. I have had only small problems and over the weekend I encountered another. My light switch broke (I guess due to constant wear and tear). I phoned Goldwagen and they quoted me R1300 for the switch (same as VW).

I am actually looking to pay much less than that (2nd hand is fine!). I have phoned about 5 scrapyards but no luck. Does anyone know of a place where I could find this part? Picture URL attached...

Try eBay from the UK?
I have bought some Vauxhall/Opel parts like that and its very cheap and reliable.
 
Depends from seller to seller, maybe go do a search on eBay and see for yourself. From the UK to SA is pretty fast, I once bought a new center console for my Astra, it was a pretty big package and I had it within 4 days of paying.
 
Good luck, you'd think the scrapyards would have more Polo stuff :-(. I've been looking for a mirror for ages and still none.
 
That looks exactly the same as the Golf/Jetta Mk3 light switch... Maybe you'll have better luck finding a second hand part from one of those models?
