I have a Polo 1.6 Classic 2007 model. After starting the car, all doors automatically lock as usual but the front passenger door then unlocks itself after couple of seconds. I have to press the lock button on the drivers door to relock. I've also also noticed it does this when I press the lock button for the second time when out of the car. Reason for locking twice is just as a precaution so now I just press the lock button once and manually check that all doors are actually locked.

Anyone else experienced this issue and recommend who can I contact to sort out as I'm not going to even bother calling a VW agency?

Depends from which area are you ? (Know a few guys around Sandton,Cape Town and Durban area)

1.Take it to a Volkswagen dealer who will be able to tell you within a hour what's wrong and what needs to be replaced
2. Modification shop (tell me if you need a number) cause they basically build these cars on a daily basis
3.MrBean way drill 2 massive holes get a chain and lock the door

A very irresponsible answer here................ everyone knows Mr Bean uses a neat hasp and staple pop riveted on !!!!

Centurion but I'm open to travelling to Sandton if anyone there can help out.

Shuan-0832550089 / Vag Cafe - 012 326 2173 (they sell and mod vw vehicles)

Autohaus close to the centurion mall will also be able to help

Probably the central locking motor/mechanism is poked/misaligned in the that door. Shouldn't be too hard or expensive to fix, I say R500 - 1000 should sort it out.

Thanks. Will update as soon as resolved.
