Hi,

I am hoping someone can help or knows whether this engine is a non-interference or not? I cannot find any information and I have looked through every engine list I can find.

I think because this model was only released for South Africa and was then renamed to the SEAT Ibiza. Still cannot get a clear answer.

I think all modern liquid cooled VW engines are interference engines and probably why you don't see it mentioned anywhere.

Maybe explain why you would need to know this? If it's for an actual rebuild or something then looking at the head should answer the question?
