Over the weekend my friend and I worked on my car for a few hours. The front of the car was parked on ramps.
After we finished I was driving around and the fuel light came on. The fuel was low so I went to fill up.
The fuel light now stays on despite the tank being full. The petrol gauge took about 10 mins to rise from empty to full after filling up.
I'm inclined to believe that the fuel sender may be stuck to the side of the tank (seeing as the car was sitting at an angle for a few hours) however the petrol gauge is reading full. It's just the fuel warning light that won't go off.
Any ideas?
