Hey guyz, I'm in need of your help.
About 2 months back my battery died so when I tried playing my radio it just displayEd safe and there after 1000 .

Now I know I'm suppose to enter the code that's written in my Manuel but it's incorrect. I tried searching for the thread medicnick83 posted with the answer but I can't find it. If any of you had this problem before, I'd really appreciate your help.
Its a 2011 polo vivo

I went to vw yes and they quoted me R850, money which I don't have.

Pretty sure they are not allowed to charge for giving you the code. Report that dealership to VW.

States in your manual that it should be provided free of charge.

Contact details for VW: https://www.vw.co.za/en/contact-us.html send them a mail about it and ask for code.

Only charge could be you do not have the radio S/N (you can get that off the back of the radio) where they can charge labor for taking it out, checking the number, and putting it back in. If you have that code, they may not charge for giving it to you. You also need the VIN number.

EDIT: Maybe you can find your code here: https://gist.github.com/mnaberez/1d1b206e0b585b1b89d1 ?
