[W] Any old/unwanted/broken computer equipment

It is indeed past mid year - time to clean out those old store rooms ;)

Got an old PC in the garage, plus screen. Don't see us ever using it.
But I think it's missing a side panel, so I kinda feel bad even giving it away.
But happy if you PM, I can send you pics, you can tell me if it's worth your time and effort.

Hi JanvN, I've got an old laptop that I'd just like see go to a good cause. Can you let me know when you could drive past Centurion, and I can try give it a format?
 
Well, all I can say is that Jan is as good as his word ... I formatted my old laptop myself using DBAN (a new discovery for me), and Jan collected it from me in Centurion this morning.

I'm alive to tell the tale too, so that puts the axe-murderer worries to rest :D According to him the laptop is bound for his current cause: a PC laboratory rebuild for a rural primary school that's recently been robbed.

Good luck with that cause Jan, and keep up the good work!

I knew I forgot something at home when I left the East Rand ;) :P....hahahaha

Thanks for the feedback. As mentioned, currently working on getting a bunch of PCs and extras built up for a school. If anyone does have some old store room somewhere that they want cleaned out, please do pop me a PM. I don't mind getting my hands dirty :)
 
I can gift you a 775 motherboard, pentium e5200 cpu + 2 cpu fans, 4gb ddr2 ram, 2 gfx cards nvidia 210 and ati 5450, a wifi card, 300w psu and a 500gb hdd
 
I have a Sumsung 2233sw monitor you can collect. 1/2 the screen has a green tint. Barely noticable when reading text or stuff, but annoying enough not to be usable for games. Randburg or Birchleigh.
