I know it's a long show but can't seem to find any locally. Any assistance in even pointing me in the right direction to purchase one would be appreciated.

It is a bit pricey. Have you contacted LG locally?

What you could also do, is based on the Google results, it looks like a 19V adapter, and upto 3.42a current, you could go to china mall and look for a DC adapter.

Or maybe get one fro takealot. If it doesn't work, send it back :crylaugh:

If it has a laptop-like pin, you could, at your own risk, try using a universal laptop charger, making sure the voltage is right. Buying a universal charger will give you the advantage of having all the various pin sizes

nemo415 is not wrong.. you can use any power adapter, provided the voltage is within about 0.5v of what the monitor spec states and the amps are the same or exceeds the spec.. also very important, the polarization on the tip of the adapter that goes into the monitor needs to match up and of course the tip needs to fit and be snug..

avsupply.co.za has a universal laptop charger that matches this monitors spec in terms of voltage and amp.. not sure about tips and polarization..
