It think you're better off rolling your own with a Raspberry Pi and something like PiCorePlayer.

Only place you'll find squeezebox players on occasion is avforums.co.za otherwise eBay.

I was also looking for one but Logitech discontinued it.

Brands that still do this kind of thing:

  • Revo Superconnect
  • Grace Digital
  • Sangean

I'll check those out as well.
It's actually for my mother.
I want to set up internet radio for her over wifi so she can listen to the BBC channels.
She is sick of just listening to 702.

The Revo Superconnect is R8000 at Takealot! http://www.takealot.com/revo-superc...-with-wifi-and-bluetooth-gloss-b/PLID39155243

The Sangean is affordable, $160 from Amazon.

Ah, the Pi option is probably not the best solution for parental units.

It won't be too difficult, if she can use a cellphone once its up :)

I actually prefer controlling my Classic with the cellphone than the remote - easier to navigate.

I have the Classic and two Pi's doing the same job.

Thanks for the links - been running Squeezeplug, I'm curious to try this, Squeezeplug always renames back to Squeezeplug after a restart... only issue I've had.

Picore is a much leaner distro. Squeezeplug is nice but tries to do too much IMO. If you just want a headless unit Picore does the job.
