[w]Looking for Xbox 1 please

Hey all I’m looking for an Xbox (must be modified) since I want to use it as a media player and store all my DVDs on it. Please let me know what you guys have.
 
Price?
Not interested in buying one yet, looking into this whole Media PC thing.

CrazyMadMan - looked at the Tivo's yet? seems also like a interesting option.
 
Well, I've mod-ed myne myself, and is currently running XBMC on it. It's the best media center money can buy currently ... A few of my friends also want one now (since if modified myne), to use as a very nice media center. So let me know if you've thought of a price.
 
I Don't use the games on the XBox normaly. I do have arround 6 though, and a few new ones might get my playing again. Me and my wife mostly like adventure games, and there's not allot of those going arround on the XBox seen. I used it as a media center only. If you'd like to sell yours, I'm sure one of my friends will want it. I'll have to support it though :( .. and probably have to mod it for them as well ...
 
I have a modded xbox...120Gb HDD...Xbox media centre and a selection of +-100 games as well as +-100 mame emulaton games all playable directly off the HDD...might be interested in selling what price u looking at paying:cool: ...BTW: are you compressing to AVI first?...it will be a waste of space if u put RAW DVD files straight on the HDD...;)

EDIT: I also have 2 controllers and all the cables etc.
 
Hi z3r0, in what region were you thinking and which mod-chip dit you install? My friends aren't gamers and will probably not what any games. The XBox will connect via an Access Point (wifi) to a central server in the house. Here we have arround 1/2 terrabyte harddisk space and also ADSL internet access. The local hardrive on the XBox will typicaly not be used.

I personaly dump the DVD in ISO format on my central NAS and play it via the XBox with a wifi link. Afterwards I just delete it off the NAS. I don't keep any DVD ISO's since I buy the ones I realy like.

Actually I have ALL the original games myself. Try and find out more information before you make assumptions huh?:rolleyes:

@peeknpoke wouldnt it be simpler just to use a pc?...the only reason Id use a modded xbox is to have the versatility of being able to watch dvd's and play games...and as far as what Ive got...I bought the xbox in UK and chipped it myself...I dont think it would my worth my while if u arent gonna take the games as well...

So you have purchased 100 Xbox Original Games?

You know I doubt it honestly.... You may have purchased the ones you enjoyed but I can't see you owning 100 original Xbox games. Maybe I am wrong and this is not the thread to go into it but that's my personal opinion anyway.

Have you ANY clue how cheap pre-owned games are in the UK? Yes only the games I really enjoyed did I purchase brand new...but when u can pick up sub par pre-owned games for 5-10 pounds? I paid 5 pounds for my pre-owned copy of HAlo2(the game that MADE xbox) I had to buy it after scratching my original copy that I bought for 40 pounds brand new a year earlier( hence the chipping and backing up of games)
So tell me this?..if u say u spoke to a little boy yesterday by your mentality I have every right to accuse u of being a pedophile? Just because its possible and in my mind I believe my logic makes sense? plz:rolleyes:
 
Wuuuuuuuuzuuuuuuuuup, i have a xbox modded with 40gb hard drive and XBMC on it, evox dashboard. XBMC is awesome plays Divx's from multiple compressed rar files :).
 
I have a Xbox 1 and would look at modding it myself ... bought mine in the Uk and brought it back to SA.

Would like to run XboxMediaCenter on it. But dont know where to start with the mod chip and where to get it from. If any1 has a chip in the CPT area or knows where to get one please /privatemessage me please.

this website is very helpful...learnt everything I did to my xbox from here www.xbox-scene.com ...the chips these days make quite easy depending on your version of xbox...Im in the CT area if u want some help just PM me and Ill give u more details:D

Like I said you may have bought 100 original games but I don't believe you :)

If you did buy them all then great I am wrong and you are the king, else you are just like every other pirate out there. Either way only you really know
