Busy restoring a 1983 W123 230e. And as to be expected it has a cracked dash that I would like to sort out.

Just want some opinions on the best way to do it?

I do not want one of those stick on carpets :wtf:

So, shall I take it to an auto trimmer and get it re-done in leather, look for an original uncracked dash.

Your suggestions would be welcome :)

Leather will look nice, but it's not going to look original. But finding an original uncracked one isn't going to be easy.

That is true Colin. I found one a while back and the guy wanted R6 000 for it.

Leather wont look original but I cant think of anything else apart from that to make it look new again, also if I buy another dash there is no guarantee it wont start cracking in 2 or 3 years either.

Thanks boxerulez, I made contact with him yesterday. I don't think he has any at the moment as he also suggested finding the best auto trimmer I can and getting the dash done over in leather.
