W850i SONY ERICSSON

Good to know. Thanks.

Have anyone found this phone available on a contract yet?

Yeah but these above sites are retailing it. I've still not seen this phone on any contract and none of the Networks' shops knows when it will be available.

It's probably still awaiting network approval. I bought mine from Vodashop so I am assuming it's available from them on contract as well. Maybe just ask. MTN has not released it yet as far as I know.

MTN says they've got it

MTN has not released it yet as far as I know.

Quite odd when I've seen the phone being advertised as available on MTN a couple of weeks ago. But then again it probably depends on your service provider and where you live.::rolleyes:

hmmm... my lil sister want's this phone for christmas, but she needs to get it as cheap as possible so that our dad can just concider getting it, does any one have any idea's where we can get this phone cheap

Cheapest seen so far is one the two websites listed further down on the site. Otherwise on contract depending on what offers are available and who has stock. Generally price range for this phone is between R4k - R5k.

w850i - Onboard Memory

Hi Guys

I've been tracking this cellphone since about October 2006. On the SonyEriccson website, it was advertising for 512MB [internal memory] and yesterday whilst in a MTN store, the sales guy told me its 16MB ... I didn't believe it and ask that he consult the website. And yes, indeed, they revamped that site and changed the information

My question is, is that legal to advertise 'pre-release' and then change the specs 'post-release'

Your comments are most welcome

I have seen it happen before. I don't think there is anything illegal about it. All other reviews and ad's I have seen for it has stated 16MB. I bought mine at the end of october and it only has 16MB onboard but comes with a 1G Duo card. Considering the ease of expansion I am happy with it.
