Hi
Im currently using a WA business capped 120Gb + 120Gb account
Main uses are downloading:-mainly newsgroups and some p2p, and streaming
While I am very happy with the product- the 240Gb may not last till month end
Im considering the 200Gb+200Gb bundle for 899 or the business uncapped for 999

Will I experience any deterioration in service if I go uncapped? At what stage does their fair usage policy apply? Will I be able to use more than 400Gb on the uncapped? I currently do most of my downloading during the download plus time.

Another advantage of the capped connection is that it allows concurrent connections and i could also use it to replace my 5Gb business bundle at work that I currently have with telkom for 99.

Thanks in advance
Regards

The business uncapped still uses star ratings, but the thresholds are decently high.

I say take the business uncapped and remember that downloads between 00:00 and 06:00 don't affect star rating. But even if you get to two stars after 17:00 you get unshaped anyway.

Can someone please explain the technical difference between WA's home capped, business capped and business pro capped? Whatever happened to capped being unthrottled and unshaped....

The business uncapped has higher priority and higher thresholds when it comes to star ratings.

People wanting cheap data. That's what happened. Time and again, even on this forum, people choose cheap over quality.

Priority on the network.
Thats pretty much a given and not really helpful. How is a customer able to make an informed decision when the technical specifications of the product are seemingly withheld.

Why don't you get into contact with WA and ask them yourself -instead of moaning at forum members for not providing you with the correct information?

I've moved over to the uncapped - the service seems about the same as
the capped account. I noticed a star rating in my console now- on a 10 Mb
Business uncapped account- at what stage are you throttled?
Can you only schedule downloads between 12 and 6 am without your star
rating being influenced or are you allowed a certain amount during normal hours?

If you do around 16GBs a day during the day you'll get a 3star rating which is still good.

Cool that's what I wanted to know
I'll give it a bash and see his my rating goes
