Hi.

Got home from work in the pouring rain, went straight into garage (electric door so didn't look)

As I was reversing in I saw the water pouring onto car was white. Immediately moved my car and had a look. Turns out the garages of the complex were painted a few hours ago and now all of the paint is washing away (and falling onto our cars).

Should I be worried..?

Bugger all signs or notice of course.

Did you rinse it off immediately? Should be diluted enough to rinse off pretty easily, that is if it's done while it's still wet.

It's pissing with rain. Ffs I'll go do it.

Rinse it off immediately while it's still wet and then wash it. You should be ok.

you can have a free shower ;)

worth it, rather than a complete respray...

So I end up washing the car to the best of my ability in the pouring rain. Had a look now that the car has had time to try and there are a few white marks  Hoping a microfibre cloth with some polish will wipe it off.

Get in touch with the responsible parties as well. I would not leave this as is.

Only a Capetonian can decide that it's best to paint the exterior surfaces of buildings during the midlde of the wet season. :D
Here in GP we wait until our dry season arrives in winter before we bring out the paint rollers.

Get the body corporate to fix it.

This was their fsck up, they are responsible for fixing it.

Double Palm Face....have seen several complexes on the Green Point Main Road strip getting painted...thinking reduced rates during the rainy session....madness!

GREASE ... ELBOW GREASE

Had the same problem with the garage paint a few weeks ago.
A bit of hot water(not boiling), soft cloth and some ....wait allot of elbow grease will solve the problem hopefully
