I mistakenly kicked my wall socket and all wires are loose. Now I don't have a telkom line nor an adsl connection. Please help with a schematic

Stick the wires on either side of your tongue. If your hair stands up, you got the right wires

There would only be 1 pair of wires that are working per line. The only thing you need to find them and best would be to test with a telephone by connecting one by one and swapping them around.

Dark blue and white normally connected to jack , only two wires to connect .

Ag they put those things in stupid places

It can be any of the colours, as they use shielded twisted pairs, like a cat5 or cat6 cable. As long as the same colours are connected either end, it will work.

Normally a good tech will only leave the copper exposed on the 2 wires that are live, while trimming the copper all the way back to the plastic, so as to prevent accidental shorting if naked wires touch. So look for that.

If you have an electrical meter or can borrow one, it will be the wires that are live.

Yeah can be any colour actually. My cable has green, blue, brown and orange. SO it's not colour specific. 1 cable that has 2 pairs can take 2 lines and saw a bigger size one with 4 pairs of wires that handles 4 lines so yeah not colour specific as you mentioned.
