News just in is that the the Walmer sub-station in William Moffet Drive has just blown up - again!

I wonder how long the repair/replacement would take this time, seeing as it was out for weeks (3?) the last time.

Overloading or something more sinister?

Is this after they restored power to it around noon?

We had two outages within 4 days amounting to 59 hours without electricity. To crown it all, we had scheduled loadshedding each time the electricity came on.
Muppets rule!

IDK, only received info (just after 12 in fact) that it had just blown up and that the Fire Dept was in attendance. The Electrical Dept was going to assess the damage as soon as it was safe to do so, read a post on Traffic Updates (Facebook)

I dunno about the power situation ........ but I do know that its a while since I was in PE (or whatever its called these days) and its an awesome place.

Used to hang out at the CSIR in Summerstrand back in the day :)

Our power went off about an hour ago. Sounds like a car took out a pole.

Bummer! Looks to be St Alban's area

Traffic lights, road signs, lampposts, trees and even overhead gantry road signs are fair game nowadays. Not forgetting traffic circles that are regularly being assaulted!

And the amount of imbeciles driving on the wrong side of freeways is mind-boggling - obviously due to lack of non-existent traffic law enforcement and obviously illegal (bought) licences.
